Summary: This paper has arisen from my research on the first study of the story of Continuing Professional Education in Australia and the publication of my UNE PhD thesis by Springer, Continuing Professional Education in Australia. A Tale of Missed Opportunities. I will continue to work with the professional associations on their profession’s CPE and the development of CPD. However, this paper is focused on issues that have arisen from the introduction of Australia’s national registration regime for select health-related professions.
